I have lost contact with a friend by the name of Larry Mattson. He drove for Lorie Mgmt. and somewhere in the Territories. I have moved from the High Desert to Ventura. I work just across from the old Dixie Diesel Truck Stop at Hwy 101 and Johnson Dr. If you know Larry, let him know I am looking for him. Thank You, Patti

Hi. my name is Harry Rudolfs and I'm writer/researcher for Highway Workplace: The Canadian Trucker's Story. This is a mobile museum exhibit that will begin travelling across Canada in 2005. It's sponsored by the Workers Arts and Heritage Centre of Hamilton, Ont. and the idea is to raise the profile of the Canadian trucker, tell the untold story of the unsung heros of the blacktop and explore and examine the culture, working conditions, history, music, literature of the Canadian gear jammer. We need your feed back. Our online version is almost ready (to be launched Feb 19/04) and we need links to important trucker sites. Also we are having a dance in support of this project Sat. Feb 14/04 at the 360 Club (Queen and Spadina area) in Toronto. Musical guests include the Daisy DeBolt Trio and the Matadors. Tickets including buffet only $15. How often does Toronto have a good trucker's valentine dance? not often enough. hammer down, harry rudolfs. contact hrudolfs@sprint.ca

RETA! Calling Reta. I got your name from the Pugwash Guest Book site. Your Mum's name looks familiar - I suspect we may know each other. The reason I'm contacting you, is that I too grew up in Pugwash. I've been "Away" for many years; came west when I was young/er - I was looking for work and a man. If you want to e-mail me back, I'd be delighted to touch base with a down homer. Thank you for sharing in the Pugwash Guest Book. Bye for now. Edith nicky21@shaw.ca

Hi great site!!
Could anyone possibly tell me if i stand a chance of emigrating to canada on the strength of being a hgv driver. I have filled in self assessment forms online and it seems that unless i am fluent in french or have a masters degree then its hard luck!!! i hear there is a driver shortage over there and i would love to move with my family. I am 33 yrs of age with 12 years experience in livestock and refridgerations units ....i hope that some of you can provide me with some answers i would be most grateful
