Great site. I am a DOD contractor in Iraq (bodyguard). I have been looking for a contract at a company who drive trucks on the ice in Canada. I am qualified to drive the big trucks and have experience with long distance hauling (links and super links and hazmat). Please let me have the relevant details. My e mail address is bodyguard@telkomsa.net .

Hello to our canadian wheat hauling friends. Sure wish we could haul more than 105,500 lbs. down here. Hardly a pull for our Pete's 1150 cummins rear wheel dyno of 600HP! Maybe when it slows here we'll go north! Great site!

i have a question for any of you movers out there. If a person makes a contract to move you---doesnt the contract have to state they are contracted out to a 3rd part? The guy never told me this, and it isnt in the contract---well of course he claims he told me, but he didnt. anyway, he never showed up to move me and I still havent gotten my $500.00 back---here is the 2nd question---he claims he has 90 days to refund my money---is this true? Thanks for any help you can be. By the way his name is ROB LOREE and his so called "company" is called help u move. BEWARE

Hi
My name is Johan. I am from Almonte in Ontario, and I am currently thinking of doing a truck drivers training course. I have been chatting to the folks from The Ontario School of Trucking in my neck of the woods (Carp, close to Ottawa).

They suggested the ACZ course, with guaranteed employment afterwards. Anyone done their course, and was it worth while? Were you actually employed after successfully completing the course?

Great site, keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Johan

Hello all. This question is for ALL truckers out there. I have been a truck driver for over 12 years. 4 years ago I went back to school to be a chiropractor. I was wondering how other truckers feel a chiropractors office in a truck stop would go over? I am thinking of setting up in Nipigon, Ontario. I would apppreciate any comments.
Thanks for your time

Really like the concept. But those that I have contact don't have any positions open at this time. Instead of wasteing ones time reading a meriad of Company advertisments. Perhaps you could narrow the field alittle by and astrix or the word hiring flashing beside the comany name that is actually seeking employees at this time.

This is just a shot in the dark but perhaps someone in the Canadian Trucking could help me.
My 43 year old daughter, Nancy Willett, escaped from the Harrisburg
(Pennsylvania) State Hospital on November 5, 2003. She left with no money
and no warm clothing. She has not been seen or heard from since.

The hospital is near I-81 and one theory is she may have caught a ride
with a trucker. Her destination was Canada where she believed her dad lives.
Her dad, in fact, died in 1985 but Nancy is suffering from mental
delusions and other mental problems.
Nancy is listed nationwide with NCIC (#M643633360, CASE # H1-135-9309).
She is also listed on two other websites for missing persons. I am now
grasping at straws, hoping someone out there gave her a ride and remembers dropping
her off somewhere in Canada.
Nancy is 43, attractive, with reddish highlights in her hair. Her eyes
are brown. She is 5'5" and weighs approximately 145 pounds. She calls
herself "Fanna." Even though she has mental problems, on some levels she is very
smart and can make people believe just about anything.

If there is any way you can help me, I would be extremely grateful.

This is a continuation from my last posting. After speaking to my son , I have learned that he is down town Edmonton, close to the City Center. He mentioned a couple of truck stops that he would meet at, should someone be interested in giving him a ride back to Ontario. Thank You "Blessed Be" Sapphire Angel

Does anyone else have a useless class 1? I've been applying left and right but to no avail. I got my license through a 12 hour course and have no other experience. Even the places that offer on the job training haven't contacted me... How does a guy get the experience if nobody will give it to him???
